After admission

Keep university admission work, visa preparation and post-arrival registration as separate stages. Each has a different requesting body.

1. University application

The university may request academic records, identity information, photographs, language evidence and programme-specific material. Follow its current instructions for format, translation and certification.

2. Visa preparation

For a long-term study visa, the visa centre or mission for your application location publishes the current requirements. The university normally issues the admission notice and relevant study-visa form after its own process; the student supplies the passport, application information and any local requirements.

3. Arrival and residence steps

Confirm the university’s arrival date, registration process, accommodation procedure and local residence-permit guidance before travel. Do not book travel around an assumed date.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using an old checklist from another country or intake.
  • Submitting files with names or dates that do not match the passport.
  • Assuming every applicant needs the same medical, financial or translation document.
  • Uploading sensitive documents to an informal consultation form.

Check a current X1 study-visa source for your location, then build your private checklist.
